This sculptural composition brings together five figures inspired by the moai, reinterpreted through a restrained and contemporary aesthetic. Crafted in fine concrete and arranged on a solid oak base, the forms convey silence, balance, and presence. The ensemble creates a serene, architectural rhythm—ideal for spaces seeking pieces with character, symbolic depth, and a respectful connection to the ancestral cultures of the Pacific.
TONGARIKI INSPIRATION
The Rapa Nui people inhabit one of the most isolated territories on Earth: Easter Island, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Their culture developed in close relationship with the sea, the sky, and the memory of their ancestors. The moai, monumental figures carved in volcanic stone, represent ancestral spirits and their protective presence, facing inland toward the community. Beyond their scale, they symbolize identity, continuity, and respect for lineage. The Rapa Nui worldview understands the balance between nature, spirituality, and society as the foundation of life—a cultural legacy that continues to resonate today.
